After postponing Wolf Moon until next year I decided to begin work on a stage show that will act as a fundraiser for putting the film back into production. FSDC will be working with local dancers and the outstanding Fiesta Flamenco on a production called VIDA.
VIDA is a celebration of life through Contemporary and Flamenco Dance, blending each in seamless performance that will capture the audiences attention from the first note to the final clap. The concept for VIDA came from the Day of the Dead Festival in Mexico, where for two days of the year people celebrate the lives of the loved ones they have lost. It is a happy colourful affair, not a mourning. The festival allows the living and the spirits of the dead to dance together and communicate through the memories of the love they once shared for one another. VIDA represents this celebration in a conversation between two different worlds... Flamenco and Contemporary, echoing the connections between the world of the living and the land of the dead.

Final performance at the Drill Hall, Lincoln on Friday the 28th and Saturday the 29th of January 2011 at 7:30pm. An open company workshop will be held from 12noon until 3pm on Saturday the 29th. The workshop will comprise of 1 hour of Contemporary technique, 1 hour of Flamenco technique and 45minutes of learning repetoire from the show.
